Botox is commonly used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It works by blocking the signals from the nerve to the muscle making the wrinkles relax and soften. The procedure takes only a few minutes using a small needle to inject botox into specific areas of the face to ensure you get the look that's right for you. You will begin to see results within 7-14 days that can last up to 6 months.
Lip fillers use a soft gel like substance called hylauronic acid to to enhance and volumise the lips. The procedure can be done using either a canulla or needle technique depending on desired result. The traditional lip filler look fills the belly on the muscle to create a volumious look. The russian technique uses a needle to create a flatter appearance with a distinctly defined cupids bow. Doll lips use a similar technique to russian but focuses the filler on the centre of the mouth to create a doll like appearance. Lip filler is also used extensively to correct uneven or assymetic lips. Anything from an extremely natural look to a very enhanced look can be achieved instantly. Following this procedure, if all aftercare advice is followed, you will experince minimal swelling and discomfort which will subside within a few days.
Dermal fillers are used in facial aesthetics to effectively and immediately reduce the appearance of unwanted wrinkles, contour and shape the face and create volume. Dermal fillers are also used to revitalise the skin. The fillers are based on hylauronic acid, a sugar molecule that is naturally occuring in the body. It regulates water balance in the skin as it binds water and can act like a lubricant and shock absorber in joints. Fillers work by boosting the skins supply of hylayronic acid, they revitalise and add volume to the skin giving a softer look. As they don't effect facial expression, they give a very natural look. They are long lasting but not permenant and can be administered using a canulla or needle depending on the area of the body.
Areas that can be treated:
Lips
Jaw
Chin
Marionnette (Mouth to chin)
Perorial lines (Smokers lines)
Nasolabial (Nose mouth)
Liquid rhinoplasty (nose)
Lower cheek
Upper cheek
Tear trough
Temples
Profhilo treatments use hyaluronic acid to improve skin quality and treat skin laxity. Profhilo not only provides hydration but triggers a response in the skin called Bio-remodelling which smoothes, tightens and gives your skin an inner glow. Rather than acting on muscle movements like fillers and botox, profhilo works to improve skin quality. The results are not immediate as profhilo is administered in 2 treatments 30 days apart. Results will be seen after the second treatments when the skin produces new bouncy collagen and elastin to give you a firmer, smoother and plumper complexion.
Aqualyx is used for the dissolution of fat deposits. It can be administered over the entire body, except the area around the eyes. Aqualyx, developed for the non-surgical reduction of localised fat under the skin is a gel-based aqueous solution, which dissolves fat and is biocompatible and biodegradable. The body then expels the released fatty acids naturally. Treatment takes one hour or less and results can be seen immediately, however we recommend 3-6 sessions to see the best results.
Plasma fibroblast therapy targets fibroblasts. These are collagen and protein producing cells in the dermis layer of the skin. Fibroblasts play a role in helping the skin wounds heal as well as maintaining skin firmness and tightness. Plasma fibroblasts therapy uses a pen like device that discharges a high-frequency electric current to treat small areas of the skin. The current creates small holes or micro-injuries in the skin layers. The procedure works to break down protein, encourage tissue regeneration, stimulates fibroblast activity and causes tissue tightening. Plasma fibroblasts therapy usually takes 30-60 minutes. You can expect to see small dots which scab over and fall off after about a week. In the following weeks the skin heals and should appear tighter and firmer.
Microneedling is the use of tiny needles to create a controlled micro-injury on the skin surface. The procedure stimulates the production of collagen and elastin which jumpstarts the skins repair cycle resulting in plumper and more radiant skin. Microneedling can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, skin texture and acne scars. The downtime of microneedling is usually 24 hours however this can last up to 2-3 days depending on the extent of the treatment.
Chemical peels use acid to break down the top layer or layers of the skin. The procedure is used to minimise the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. Chemical peels can also be used to treat some types of acne and reduce age spots, freckles and dark spots. The procedure can vary depending on the type of chemical peel (light, medium or deep) therefore the downtime may vary for each.
Dermaplaning is a skin treatment that uses an exfoliating blade to skim dead skin cells and hair from your face. The procedure aims to remove fine wrinkles and deep acne scarring, as well as make the skin's surface look smooth. Your skin is exposed daily to harsh environmental toxins, irritants, and sun damage. This can cause the top layer of your skin to appear dull, and it can make you look aged. Dermaplaning clears away those damaged skin cells so newer skin cells are what you see when you look in the mirror. The procedure doesn't require any downtime for recovery, which makes it extremely convenient.
Microblading is a cosmetic procedure that involves using semi-permeant tattoo technique to achieve the appearance of fuller and precisely shaped eyebrows. Unlike a tattoo, microblading uses a manual, handheld tool with tiny needles at the end to create the shape of a small blade (a microblade). The needle very finely implants featherweight strokes with a medical grade pigment on the epidermis layer of the skin, creatine fine, realistic and natural hair strokes.
B12 is an essential vitamin that is crucial in many metabolic and hormonal functions. Therefore, it can be administered via injection as a wellness treatment. The injections are known to promote energy production, nerve cell health, erythrocyte production and neurological function. The procedure can also improve immune system regulation and mood therefore you may be interested in vitamin B12 injections if you suffer with stress, fatigue or brain fog. We recommend getting B12 injections atleast once every 3 months to ensure you feel your best at all times.
Lidocaine is a general anaesthetic that can be delivered via injection to numb the area making the procedure more comfortable. Lidocaine injections can be offered for all treatments but it's lip treatments that lidocaine is most commonly used for, as this area is more vascular so the injection will minimise any discomfort. The lidocaine is administered via 4 injections to the inside of the mouth and takes effect within minutes.
